
Why our IR lamps just work with almost any PET machine
Let’s be honest: getting locked into a specific brand of lamps is a headache. You’re stuck paying whatever price the manufacturer wants just because their lamps are the only ones that “fit.” We got tired of that. So, we built our infrared lamps to break that cycle. Instead of making something fancy and proprietary, we focused on the actual physics of heat and the standard electrical footprints used globally. The result? A lamp you can just slide in and start using, regardless of who built your machine.
The nitty-gritty on the specs
Compatibility isn’t magic. It’s just three things: voltage, wattage, and length. We make our tubes in standard sizes—like 300mm and 400mm—because that’s what most ovens actually use. Now, about the power. We offer 400V versions so you can push more wattage through the filament. This is key because it gets the PET preform soft and ready to blow fast, which keeps your cycle times tight. Just a heads-up: these high-wattage tubes put a bit more pressure on your power supply. You’ll want to make sure your transformers are up to the task so they don’t struggle with the peak load.
No fancy pins, just solid gear
We use heavy-wall quartz glass and halogen gas. Why? Because the halogen cycle stops the tungsten filament from evaporating too quickly. That means your tubes won’t turn black or lose their punch after a short run. As for the connections, we stick to R7s and Sk15. They’re the old reliable workhorses of the industry. They create a tight electrical contact that won’t arc, even when things get scorching hot. No weird proprietary pins here. You just pull the old one out, pop this one in, and you’re back in business.
What this looks like on the floor
If your heating is uneven, you end up with bottles that have weird wall thickness or that cloudy, pearlescent look. It’s a waste of material. Our lamps use short-wave IR. It penetrates the plastic deeper and faster than the long-wave stuff, which saves you energy. One tip: because these lamps pack so much heat, your oven’s ambient temperature can climb quickly if your cooling system is a bit weak. Just keep your airflow clear, and your lamps will last a lot longer.
