If you want your bake cycles to actually stay consistent, you need specialized infrared quartz lamps. Period. If you push too much voltage into a tube that’s too short, you get hotspots. And hotspots lead to cracked glass. It’s a quick way to ruin a workday. It handles “thermal shock” (that sudden jump from cold to scorching) much better than the cheap stuff. We also use halogen gas fills.
