We use high-purity quartz because these things take a beating with rapid heating and cooling. We also added a specific coating that shifts the infrared spectrum. Here’s why that’s cool: it targets the PET resin specifically. Instead of wasting energy heating up the metal frame of your machine, the heat goes exactly where it belongs—into the plastic. One quick heads-up, though. I know it’s tempting to crank up the wattage to shave a few seconds off your cycle time. But be careful. Pushing the lamps past their rated specs puts a lot of stress on your power supplies and burns out the filaments way faster. Out in the field. Installing these is a breeze.
